Music Classes for Children

Age 3: Music Wonderland (MW). Begin your child’s musical journey with this one year course. Children learn in the best possible way for this age by listening, singing, dancing and even playing a keyboard.
Age 4–6 1/2: Junior Music Course (JMC).This two-year program is the foundation of the Yamaha system. It includes comprehensive musical training for beginners starting at age four.
Age 6 1/2–9: Young Musician’s Course (YMC). This well-rounded musicianship program is designed for beginners aged six to nine.

Lessons on All Instruments (ages 8 through adult)

Advanced Programs for Children

Junior Extension Course (JXC). Most JMC graduates continue their studies in JXC from age six to seven.

Junior Advanced Course (JAC). JXC alumni work closely with teachers to fine-tune their individual talents from age eight to nine.
